District Organization
Building working-class power across Missouri and Kansas through collective leadership, local clubs, and youth organizing.
District Committee (DC)
District committees provide elected collective leadership in accordance with the CPUSA Constitution.
Collective leadership means responsibility is shared rather than concentrated in one individual. Democratic centralism combines open discussion and democratic decision-making with united action after a decision. The CPUSA Constitution establishes the responsibilities and accountability of elected Party bodies.
Key Focus Areas of the Committee:
- Club Coordination & Growth: Planting new local branches and providing organizational support to help existing clubs expand.
- Labor Solidarity & Action: Mobilizing members to support strikes, contract fights, and rank-and-file union organizing campaigns.
- Political Education: Overseeing educational materials, new member study circles, and ideological discussions.
- Coalition & Community Fights: Coordinating district-wide campaigns for tenant rights, anti-racism, and peace.
DC Structure & Governance
The District Committee is elected by the District Convention in accordance with the CPUSA Constitution and district procedures.
